How to: Change the default column width of a datasheet.
Solution:
Select 'Options...' from the 'Tools' menu, type the desired width in the 'Default Column Width' box of the 'Datasheet' tab, and click 'Apply' or the 'OK'.
1) Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Options...'. (The Options dialog box appears.)
2) Click the 'Datasheet' tab.
3) Type a measurement as the default column width of all datasheets in the 'Default Column Width' box.

NOTE: Make sure to use the correct system of measurement (inches or centimeters). The system of measurement is defined under 'Regional Settings' in the Windows Control Panel.
4) Do one of the following:
a) Click 'Apply' to apply the new settings and keep the 'Options' dialog box open.
NOTE: Click 'Apply' when there are changes that need to be made to settings on another tab. This avoids having to re-open the 'Options' dialog box.
b) Click 'OK' to apply the new settings and close the 'Options' dialog box.
